Control Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Controls Engineer with expertise in custom automation machine building, Siemens PLC programming, and industrial networking protocols for prototyping and software development projects.

Requirements:

US Citizenship Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering 5+ years experience in custom automation machine building industry, preferably in automotive Recent Siemens PLC programming experience with the latest FW versions of TIA Portal Experience with HMI/SCADA (WinCC primary, Ignition secondary) Familiarity with controls hardware such as sensors, remote IO, servos, VFDs, machine vision, barcode readers

Preferred Skills:

Experience with industrial networking protocols: Profinet, Ethernet TCP/IP, Ethernet I/P, EtherCAT Expertise in working with robots: 6-axis (FANUC primary, Kuka secondary)

Responsibilities:

Prototype using overnight machined parts from fabrication shop Participate in machine risk assessments to ensure safety standards are met Review electrical schematics and assist with hardware definition/architecture Create application design documentation/flow charts; conduct software design reviews Program software for unique projects involving PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, servo systems, robotics, machine vision Test and verify electrical wiring including safety circuits and IO communications; debug and test all software to meet project requirements

Pay Details: $54.00 to $72.00 per hour
