Contracts Specialist (24 months)

In this role you will provide support to Procurement & Supply Chain community in Europe for related procurement contracts and as secondary activity Sales-related Contract Services to Europe WA, with minimal levels of supervision. If you are ready to expand your professional experiences and grow professionally, we invite you to become a valued member of our team in Cluj! **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Review, draft and negotiate procurement agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, with minimal direction, including: o Respond to suppliers and procurement collaborators, considering vendor qualification documents and contractual requests; o Draft appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties, while dealing with suppliers and customers. + Take the Contracts Lead role on less complex international and multi-BU project contracts; + Take the Global Contracts Lead role on various accounts on more complex projects and frame agreements as experience develops; + Work with suppliers, customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson collaborators to bring deals to closure; + Analyze business, financial, and legal risks; + Research information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports; + Provide contract-related guidance to Procurement and Supply Chain representatives, Project Management and other stakeholders; + Participate in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals. **Who You Are:** You see the big picture, constantly are encouraging future scenarios, and build strategies to sustain competitive advantage. You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + A min of 2 years of work experience in a contracts-related role; + Bachelor’s Degree in Legal or a related field; + Intermediate MS Office skills; + Excellent oral and written English language skills; + Experienced negotiation skills; + Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles; + Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment & freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties. **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + Completion of IACCM Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Training Program to Practitioner Level strongly preferred; + Other languages (German, Hungarian, Italian, etc.) are an advantage. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** _At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
