Job Description:

Contracts Manager

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is seeking an experienced and strategic Contracts Manager to lead all contractual and commercial aspects of an Infrastructure Project.

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead all construction-related activities for transport infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Manage project reporting, progress tracking, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and technical leads.

Identify and mitigate construction risks; lead resolution of site issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Provide strategic input during design development, development of construction tender documentation and constructability reviews.

Lead the change control process, including issuance of Engineers Instructions, assessment of Variation Orders, quantifications and the evaluation of unit rates for new work items.

Lead the evaluation of claims and day works recording and process.

Finalize the Contractor’s monthly payment certificates.

Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation.

Ensure compliance with UAE commercial laws and regulations

Implement and maintain contract management systems and processes. Advice on contractual matters.

Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.

Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement across construction teams.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying

Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience in all aspects of quantity surveying and commercial management

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in contract administration within large-scale civil /Dredging and Reclamation projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.

Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims.

Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills in English.

Qualified and chartered by a recognized international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) will be an added advantage.

Prior related work experience in infrastructure projects in the middle east.

Experience with FIDIC form of contract.

Experience working for a Consultant providing internal and external advice.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities
