Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of client, vendor, and partner contracts across the organization. This role will focus on ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and accelerating deal velocity—while actively leveraging technology and AI to enhance workflows, automate document creation, and optimize contract analytics. This full-time role requires 2 days per week in the office (Tuesday & Wednesday).

Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, licensing, and partnership agreements. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to support timely execution and compliance. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a contract management system (CLM) to track contract status, key terms, and renewal dates. Implement and maintain contract templates and clause libraries for consistency and scalability. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and optimize contract workflows using AI and legal tech tools. Leverage AI-driven tools to analyze contract terms, surface risks, and ensure alignment with internal policies. Create dashboards and reports to provide visibility into contract metrics, turnaround times, and risk indicators. Ensure all contracts comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and corporate guidelines. Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on contract processes and best practices. Stay informed of industry trends in AI, legal tech, and digital marketing to proactively recommend improvements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; JD or paralegal certification a plus but not required. Minimum 5+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in a digital marketing, SaaS, or professional services environment. Proven experience managing high volumes of contracts in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software (e.g., Ironclad). Strong understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and service-level terms relevant to marketing and technology agreements. Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, drive adoption of new tools, and collaborate across teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

 

For Chicago, the estimated salary range for this position is between $ 105,000 and $120,000.   For New York City, the estimated salary range for this position is between $ 110,000 and $130,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
