Airswift is currently looking for Contract Engineer to work with our client an Oil and Gas COMPANY
Start Date: July 2025
Location: Paris France for approximately 8 months then Job Holder to be available for mobility in Suriname in 2026 Resident Paris (FRANCE) : from August 2025 to approximately March – April 2026 Resident Paramaribo (SURINAME) : from approx. March/April 2026 to June 2025 Project: SURINAME
ACTIVITIES:
• Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to the COMPANY Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and promote and enforce the Anti-Corruption Program in force.
• Ensure that Project procedures regarding contractual and legal aspects are respected and properly implemented by all Project teams in relation with the affiliate TEEP Suriname.
• Observe COMPANY H3SE policy, rules and procedures and in particular ISO14001 standard. - Participation to HSE activities and global improvement (e.g. referential, REX, audits, Maestro, trainings, HSE action plans…)
• Ensure a proper execution of the contract process, i.e.: Receive requests or technical scope from requesting entities and make sure requests are suitable to proceed to RFQ/CFT. Prepare contracts strategies and obtain required approval; Draft CFT / RFQ documents and seek approval; Conduct and manage the contractual qualifications raised by the bidders; Evaluate offers, along with requesting technical entities; Conduct commercial negotiations and report to Management; Issue recommendations to award and submit them to Management to obtain relevant approvals, Finalize corresponding contract documents (contracts, contract amendments, etc…), Ensure a proper handover with the Contract Owner Coordinate C&P activities with the Head of Drilling Contracts. • Job Holder shall coordinate with his technical counterpart (Drilling and Fluids Engineer) to jointly prepare the technical Appendixes consistently with the Contract.
• Especially, support in preparing the CFT package for integrated drilling services. A special focus must be put on developing a robust commercial structure to guarantee a well delivery within budget. Contractual terms will have to be reviewed in light of the stakes of this project and of the contract.
• Propose and work on any Contracts’ optimization initiative (working methods, procedures updates…). Claim Preventive awareness (contract management methods, tendering stage and early execution stage).
• Contribute continuously to Contracts REX/Lessons Learnt consolidation. When completing a dossier prepare main lessons learnt
Qualifications & Experience required At least 10 years' experience in managing E&P contracts and tendering processes, among which at least 5 years for Drilling and wells contracts Autonomous with the ability to manage several dossiers simultaneously, Rigorous and methodical Contract understanding and some knowledge related to tendering, execution and close out phases Understanding of required leadership, project management, change management, group facilitation skills Communication, influencing and networking skills Be a force of proposal and initiative to defend the interest of Company at best Ability to work in Multicultural environment Ability to work with complexity and challenging stakeholders Ability to work in transversal mode Understanding of legal civil and common law system Understanding of all aspects of the project: planning, time impact, quantum, costs, risk management, project management, technical, local content Understanding of dispute resolution and negotiation process Ability to manage heavy workload in a fast pace and dispute environment Good communication skills, dynamism, high motivation, ability to convince, organized, leadership and ability to put issues into perspective Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
Languages: Fluent in English and French basics
CONTEXTE AND ENVIRONMENT:
The activity takes place in the context of a major project in Suriname, a land of opportunity, in affiliate being created. The Suriname GranMorgu Team is a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the development studies on the Deep and Shallow Water discoveries of offshore Suriname Block 58.
The main technical challenge faced by the GranMorgu Project is the ambitious planning set between the end of the Exploration Campaign (2023) and the planned first oil (2028) driving an ambitious drilling schedule starting in 2026.
The GranMorgu Project team will be developed with the objectives to maximize economical results by optimizing the reserves, the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.
