The Contracts & Commercial Manager – Tenders leads negotiations for complex contractual agreements and strategic opportunities, helping shape overall deal strategy and ensure profitability. The role oversees all Commercial & Contractual aspects of large-scale, complex proposals and acts as the primary authority for Contractual matters.Reporting operationally to the Regional Contracts Director, the position is responsible for high quality proposals aligned with organizational standards.
As the Contracts & Commercial Manager - Tenders you will be responsible for:
Managing all contractual related aspects of the tender, including commercial arrangements, contract negotiation and adherence to contract requirements and reporting;
Establish and maintain negotiations to ensure compliance with the specific commercial tender administration standards;
Provide leadership, advice, and guidance to senior management on specific contractual matters;
Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed across the tender scopes of work by controlling the overall project profile and opportunity review;
Ensure that related commercial and contractual engagement for key subcontracts and major purchases are mitigated and opportunities managed; and
Drive the handover and start-up process for awarded projects.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or, other relevant legal, commercial, energy related degree.
Substantial contract management experience in an energy, resources or capital construction environments.
Proven track record in contributing to the improvement of project profitability, cash flow and control of commercial risk in previous roles.
Strong and proven track record in reviewing, qualifying and negotiating contracts and operational commercial proposals.
Commercially, financially and contractually aware with good communication, inter-personal and skills.
Proven capability of working in a matrix environment and of leading by influence.
Willing to work at a detailed level.
