• Support commercial governance activities across the bid and contract lifecycle, assisting with bids, contract negotiation and administration, change control, and the identification and mitigation of risk
• Assist in promoting commercial awareness within client- or subcontractor-facing teams by providing guidance and templates and by supporting training activities
• Escalate significant commercial or contractual issues to senior colleagues or the Legal Director as appropriate
• Support the preparation and collation of documentation and the resolution of disputes
• Work with colleagues and global procurement teams during bidding and contract delivery to help identify and highlight commercial risks for internal governance reviews
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and client counterparts
• Contribute ideas to improve commercial processes and practices, and share learning and best practice with colleagues
• Implement negotiation strategies to maximise the outcome for CGI
• Use available AI and digital tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of commercial support activities
• Assist in articulating the value of CGI’s propositions to clients, helping to balance risk and reward
• At least 3 years’ experience in a commercial, contracts, legal, procurement, or project support role, preferably within a similar industry
• Exposure to pre-sales, bidding, and/or contract delivery activities is desirable but not essential
• Degree-level education (preferably in a Legal, Business, or Finance-related discipline). A relevant professional membership, such as World Commerce & Contracting (formerly IACCM) CCME, would also be desirable.
• A sound understanding of contract law principles is required
• Ability to remain professional and organised under pressure, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and juggle multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to learn and progress within a commercial career path
