Contracts Administrator
Our team is growing! We are looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our Nuclear Division in Idaho Falls. This position offers an engaging opportunity for a skilled contract management professional to lead contract management strategy and execution. This role is instrumental in negotiating and overseeing contracts from initiation through completion, ensuring compliance with technical standards, favorable terms, and effective project delivery. We seek a team member with experience managing commercial contracts and subcontracts, knowledge of contract law, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, strong conflict resolution capabilities, and the ability to align with broader organizational goals.

Your Challenge:
Provide subject matter expertise to the business on contract management/commercial risk management/claims and variations.
Negotiate subcontracts with consultants.
Work with the project team to optimize the design and structure of subcontracts.
Ensure subcontracts placed reflect the requirements of the business.
Ensures all subcontracts are at prices and on terms and conditions acceptable
Manage contract and subcontract risks.
Manage claims and variations
Manage subcontracts post contract award through the full development life cycle (design, manufacture, test, acceptance) ensuring subcontractors deliver to agreed requirements and schedule.
Develop appropriate reporting and contract management processes for projects.
Advise management and staff on the practical and necessary steps to ensure corporate processes are followed.
Provide advice and guidance to the business as required.
Demonstrate a strong customer focus by listening to, recognizing, and responding to customer input in an effective, timely and courteous manner.
Take initiative as problems and opportunities arise by anticipating and meeting customer needs and company expectations.
Model a continuous improvement mindset: Use lessons learned and industry best practices to refine the contract and approval process.
Resolve contract variations/disputes/claims with customer and subcontractors.
Meet defined objectives and targets set against key responsibilities.
Interact with all levels of the organization

Your Expertise:
Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or related field.
10+ years commercial contracts and contract/subcontract management experience.
Ability to review, draft, and negotiate contract and subcontract terms and conditions.
Experience negotiating claims and variations to contract with subcontractors and customers.
Knowledge of contract law.
Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Rules) and DOE Flow Downs.
Business, commercial, and risk management acumen.
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills
Knowledge of contract terms, conditions and bids.
Must have strong problem solving and planning skills.
Highly organized, attentive to detail and with proven follow-up skills.
Good judgment and strong professional and ethical standards.
A well-organized individual who can relate to management, line workers, government officials, customers, and visitors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-environment.
Leadership – a demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Ability to work a professional work schedule in an office environment. Non-regular hours will be required occasionally
Experience with contracts in a technology driven business is preferred.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 20%
