As a Contract Specialist, You Will:
Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements with contracting agencies, payors, and other healthcare partners.
Consult frequently with operations and other departments during the contract preparation process.
Gather and analyze information and data from branch personnel, regulatory departments, contracting agencies, and other sources to support projects.
Provide input to field management to assess operational and financial feasibility of agreements.
Develop original contracts, letters, and other documents to support business objectives.
Ensure accurate and timely entry of information into the department database and compliance with policies and procedures.
Interact with internal customers and other departments (Risk Management, Clinical Services, Law, Regulatory) with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
About YouQualifications – What You’ll Bring:
Minimum 2 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts in a healthcare setting
Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work cohesively with a team, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines
Familiarity with payor contracts and credentialing processes
Knowledge of current and legally binding contractual language and terminology
Ability to identify, analyze, and propose solutions for problems
Knowledge of negotiation best practices
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
Paralegal certificate
Prior experience in healthcare contract management
