BASIC FUNCTION: The Contract Specialist coordinates and administers contracts by organizing, preparing, and maintaining contracts for architectural, engineering, and professional service consulting agreements and specialized buying assignments including construction and material bid documents, contracts, files, and budget documents. Additionally, the Contract Specialist develops and administers requests for proposals leading to contract negotiation and administration.

Requirements / Qualifications

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Strategic Sourcing and Contracts- 2351 Cardinal Lane Building M, San Diego, CA, 92123. The District covers a large portion of San Diego County. Refer to the District Area Map at this Link and make sure to identify any and all specific area(s) you are interested in working in. The area(s) you identify in your application will be used for any future vacancies filled using the eligiblity list from this recruitment. Work Schedule: 12 months per year / 40 hours per week. Salary: This position is paid on the OTBS Salary Schedule. Grade 058. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to BA or BS degree in business or public administration or a related major and four years of recent, directly related experience in contract administration in a large public agency environment or related field. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid California driver's license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided).
