Key Responsibilities:
Contract Support:
Review, evaluate, draft, and negotiate various types of sales/service-related documents (e.g., RFQs, RFPs, Purchase Orders, Solicitation/Tenders (Bids), Service Contracts, Sales/Service Master Agreements, Code of Conduct, Non-Disclosure Agreement) for compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures in SEA, ANZ & Taiwan.Review complete package of contract documents based on the company contract review checklist and working knowledge of the legal, financial, regulatory, and business risks in sales order, contract, and subcontract terms and conditions. Communicate these exposures effectively and efficiently to company decision-makers when necessary.Understand the basics of commercial sales such as pricing, delivery, Incoterms, warranty, and payment terms.Understand revenue recognition, contracts/production holds, and book and ship activities.Work with the legal department and/or the team to propose alternative contractual arrangements acceptable to the company when customer and company terms and conditions differ.Apply risk profile/assessment matrix across product categories using corporate guidelines and communicate business risk in agreements to legal team as required.Perform administration of the tender/contract process, including the required documents preparations, approvals, submission etc.Collaborate with various groups such as sales, service, order management, legal, finance, etc., across the entire Thermo Fisher Scientific organization.Maintain updated centralized contract files and a centralized database of reviewed and approved agreements and bids.Handle New Vendor RegistrationsSupport Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodology and participate in initiatives as required.Support Monthly Critical Metric ReportingBack up support for India region and responsible for other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or legal field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Experience
5-7 years’ of experiences in government contracting and contracts negotiation.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrate good judgment in balancing business and commercial needs and potential risks/exposures with customer requests.Strong understanding of legal, financial, regulatory, and business risks associated with sales orders, contracts, and subcontractsDetail oriented with a high degree of integrity, intensity, Innovation and involvement.Excellent judgment and ability to work autonomously under pressure from established goals and strategic direction.
