Job Title: Contract Review Engineer
Job Description
As a Contract Review Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of contracts for incoming purchase orders, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements. You will design manufacturing routings and leverage ERP software to create routings and bills of material. You will also become the subject matter expert on contract review and develop process improvements.
Responsibilities
+ Complete contract review for incoming purchase orders by examining part drawings, specifications, and flow downs.
+ Design manufacturing routings from detailed and complex print specifications.
+ Utilize ERP software systems to create routings and bills of material.
+ Develop and implement changes to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
+ Identify new suppliers for outside services and lead their qualification.
+ Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements.
+ Identify suppliers and obtain quotes for necessary outside services.
+ Partner with the manufacturing team to optimize equipment and special process vendors.
+ Update quotes for repeat orders to strategically grow the business.
+ Assist other departments in interpreting design specifications, quality, and customer requirements.
+ Collaborate with the manufacturing area to define and refine production routings.
+ Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action, and internal audits.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing Systems, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
+ 1-3 years of experience in Quality, Product, or Process Engineering.
+ Strong technical reading and writing skills for analyzing government and special order contracts.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Detail-oriented and hands-on problem solver.
+ Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environments is a plus.
+ Knowledge of spring design, manufacturing processes, and root cause analysis.
+ Familiarity with AS9100 regulatory requirements in the aerospace industry.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident card holder.
Work Environment
The role involves working closely with internal and external customers throughout all phases of the product lifecycle. The position supports and drives safety initiatives and requires a focus on product and production. The environment is collaborative, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and process improvement. Familiarity with ITAR and ISO 9001 standards, as well as experience in metals and aerospace industries, will be beneficial.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
