Contract Manager
Job Title: Sourcing Contract ManagementJob Description The role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing Statements of Works (SoWs) and Change Orders (COs) for low-risk contracts using the Legal Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. You will advise and troubleshoot existing agreements under the guidance of an assigned team member. The position requires attending cross-functional meetings to ensure supplier contract terms and conditions are adequately addressed and contracts are executed promptly. You will be responsible for routing, tracking, and facilitating the timely progress of contracts through to execution, preparing status reports for contracts in circulation, and creating purchase requisitions to enable the PSC business to commence work with the scope of the executed contract. Responsibilities + Draft, negotiate, and manage Statements of Works (SoWs) and Change Orders (COs) for low-risk contracts. + Advise and troubleshoot existing agreements under team guidance. + Attend cross-functional meetings to ensure contract terms are addressed and executed timely. + Route, track, and facilitate contracts from submission to execution. + Prepare status reports for contracts in circulation. + Create purchase requisitions to enable business commencement. + Assist and support continuous improvement activities. + Resolve issues with invoices pending department approvals in collaboration with Procurement Operations and Accounts Payable. + Facilitate and support budget forecasting and accrual activities. + Provide support during financial audits at month or quarterly close. + Maintain GxP and financial audit inspection readiness as applicable. + Assist with other sourcing projects as needed. Essential Skills + Must have experience in contract writing within life sciences industries. + Ability to draft Statements of Works (SoWs) and Change Orders (COs). + Knowledge of contract management processes including tracking, routing, approvals, and signatures. + Understanding of clinical/commercial supply chain terms and risks. + Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D, CMC, Clinical, Finance, and Commercial. + Strong vendor management and supplier communication skills. + Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + 1-2+ years of experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with contract manufacturing agreements and biologics supply chain agreements. + Budget forecasting, accruals, and audit support experience. + GxP or financial audit readiness experience. + Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (including pivot tables). + Experience with CMOs or clinical testing labs. + Familiarity with Agiloft, SAP, Ariba, and contract negotiation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $80.00/hr.
