The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Contract Management Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the Space Launch Systems (SLS) team in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

In this critical role, you will manage and oversee contract management activities related to the Boeing/National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) SLS contracts. Your expertise will be essential in supporting NASA's mission and ensuring the successful execution of contracts that drive innovation and excellence in aerospace.

Position Responsibilities:

Provides contract guidance and recommendations to program and business management teams including strategy and risk management initiatives

Crafts innovative solutions to complex challenges that may serve as precedent for future decisions and lead the development of contractual and pricing strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements

Develops and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders, including NASA, industry prime customers, subcontractors, and various government agencies, while facilitating prompt payment and supporting company financial goals

Leads the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business

Represents the company in external negotiations to a broad set of customers

Prepares, negotiates, executes, interprets and administers legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company

Leads coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines

Summarizes complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's Degree or higher

3+ years of experience developing, negotiating and executing complex United States Government (USG) contracts under USG primes

3+ years of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and supplemental regulations

3+ years of experience in proposal development and contract negotiations with U.S. Government Customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

5+ years of contracting or related experience

Willingness to travel domestically as needed

Ability to perform with a significant amount of autonomy and exercise good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments

Ability to advise all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving

NASA Access:

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Mid-Level, Level 3): $78,200 – $105,800

Summary pay range (Senior, Level 4): $100,300 – $135,700
