**Date Posted:** 2025-06-12 **Country:** United States of America **Location:** OT541: TFP - Florence, SC 1500 Otis Way, Florence, SC, 29501 USA **Highrise and Low rise Contract Engineer Manager – Contract Logistics Center (CLC)** Otis is seeking a Contract Engineer Manager who is a frontline leader for the North American CLC team in Florence, SC. This team is responsible for developing contract specific solutions for model and high-rise elevator systems. This includes a customer interface for solutions to existing structures, and in-flight projects along with post installation support. The CLC contract engineering manager will manage the team to execute contract changes into each system. This includes but is not limited to new drawings, technical support and provides cost to support the customer. The Contract Engineer manager will develop and execute project and processes for contract-specific engineering drawings for non-standard contract deviations and Sales change orders. They will work with scheduling, layout drafters, sales, project management, engineering and supply management to produce accurate contract engineered solutions for elevator components/systems. Drawings will be executed in AutoCAD and Creo, the CLC Contract Design Engineer will create new or modify existing 3D model parts and assemblies to support contract engineered solutions. Output will include, but are not limited to, 3D models, creation of contract-specific sheet metal manufacturing DXF’s, manufacturing drawings and specified bills of materials. The manager will directly interact with design engineering, supply chain, sales and field installation. Key responsibilities will include: + Setting milestones and key objective for the CLC model and Skyrise business + Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of output to support task/project delivery expectations + Monitoring team performance and providing regular feedback + Assisting with employee development and training + Driving results by managing through the team and utilizing team strengths + Driving continuous improvement processes and initiatives within the team Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and upholding company values, ethics, mission and vision The candidate must interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical assembly drawings and sometimes building plans in order to analyze complex problems, identify root cause issues and develop innovative solutions. Candidate will perform analysis of model contracts during processing for upfront solutions and post release for manufacturing. The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to collaborate effectively. The candidate will work on cross-functional teams including members from manufacturing operations, supply management, contract logistics, finance, and field support to ensure contract engineered designs are compatible with requirements from across the organization. **Education/Experience:** Bachelor's degree is required (in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering or similar field) 5-10 years of experience in systems and mechanical calculations (10+ years of experience required with a bachelor's degree, or 5 years+ of experience with a master's degree) Candidate’s requirements: + Elevator system and subsystem knowledge + Drawing system, engineering change process, and component modeling/design + AutoCad/Creo / Pro Engineer + Experience with reviewing technical drawings, & building plans + Ability to work with minimal direction; self-starter + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to work in cross-functional teams, respect individual differences and welcome diverse thinking + Proven history of on-time project delivery + Detailed oriented Additional preferred qualifications: + Knowledge of Otis Florence Systems + Customer Interface + Ability to approach the job with a sense of ownership in the outcome of their work + Champion of process improvement + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Apply today to join us and build what’s next!.
