Contract BID Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Contract BID Specialist to join our team in Stockton, California, within the aerospace industry. In this long-term contract position, you will play an integral role in managing all aspects of proposal development for government contracts, ensuring compliance and excellence throughout the process. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical abilities. Responsibilities: • Coordinate proposal teams, including technical and functional experts, to ensure timely and high-quality submissions. • Oversee the proposal development process, including contract approvals, strategy creation, and compliance planning. • Analyze government RFPs, RFIs, and solicitations, creating detailed compliance matrices and strategic approaches. • Manage proposal schedules, budgets, and provide regular updates to leadership on progress and challenges. • Develop and validate financial components such as cost analyses, pricing models, and other key budgetary elements. • Conduct detailed reviews of proposals, incorporating amendments and feedback from various review stages. • Ensure smooth transition of awarded contracts to operations, interpreting agreements and facilitating hand-offs. • Lead post-proposal evaluations to identify areas for improvement and support future business development initiatives. • Contribute to strategic planning activities and assist with special projects as required. Requirements • Proven leadership and project management skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams. • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in business and technical writing. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and Excel. • Strong understanding of proposal methodologies and government contracting standards. • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility. • Familiarity with purchasing functions, including purchase orders, quotations, and vendor relations. • Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial metrics and develop cost-benefit analyses.
