Contract Specialist
Responsible for supporting the full contract lifecycle with a focus on compliance, legal accuracy, and effective communication. Key responsibilities include:
Prepare, review, analyze, and maintain complex third-party service contracts and related legal documents
Interpret and ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, state and federal regulations, and insurance requirements
Negotiate contract terms and provisions with internal and external stakeholders
Utilize contract administration software and maintain databases, imaging systems, and records
Compile and analyze reports for management and relevant departments
Manage documentation including approvals, waivers, vendor records, certificates of insurance, and prequalification forms
Conduct research and apply discretion and judgment in interpreting legal and regulatory content
Ensure compliance with recording requirements for legal documents
Utilize basic math and algebraic formulas in spreadsheets and reporting
Communicate and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and legal professionals
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contract law, insurance coverages, and business communications
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization in maintaining records and documentation
Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
Paralegal or relevant legal experience
Strong knowledge of contract law, legal documentation, and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, contract management databases, and data management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
