Job DescriptionAs Senior Manager Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m/f/diverse) you will be the contact for our various internal stakeholders as well as our external auditors with respect to specific accounting issues including major parts of the Annual Report
Preparation of the accounting for specific parts of the Annual Report and contact for internal and external auditorsHandling of Annual, Quarterly, Monthly and case-related accounting issues including coordination for required inputPrepare and execute advise and direct internal stakeholders to act in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for external reporting and apply basic accounting principles and internal guidelinesSubject matter expert for complex accounting issues and technical consultant for other colleaguesUpdates of the Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and Definition of Group Accounting PoliciesContinuous monitoring of accounting standards regarding legal requirements or internal issuesImplementation of new IASB standards. Collaboration with group auditorsProvide trainings on Accounting issuesParticipation in projects, in particular M&A projects or implementation of new accounting standardsQualificationsUniversity degree in Economics with a focus on Finance and AccountingProfound professional experience at an accounting firm or in the financial and accounting department of an industrial companyCertified Public Accountant (German Wirtschaftsprüfer) exam recommendedSeveral years of professional experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statementsProfound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)Project management experience preferably in the field of accounting (e.g. new IFRS implementation, compliance with regulatory standards etc.)Business fluent English and German language skills (written and spoken)Intercultural sensitivity and very good cross-culture communication and understandingApplications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
