Continuous Improvement Technician

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician at 7800 Trade Center Avenue in El Paso, TX. The regulary scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00 pm. The rate for this position is $28.00 per hour. **This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program** . Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
**What you’ll do:**
Analyze and execute all the improvement opportunities detected in the Continuous Improvement programs such as: Raising the bar, Safety findings, Kaizen Events, 5S+ Audits, Gemba walk, Problem Solving Initiatives, Corrective and preventive maintenance. This position will also promote participation in continuous improvements among production department employees.
+ Analysis and implementation of “improvement ideas” generated by Eaton’s associates.
+ Support in EHS initiatives.
+ Active participation in Kaizen Events.
+ Quick jobs (cutting, welding, assembly of structures, etc.).
+ Installation of guards and basic repairs (corrections) in the production line.
+ Participate in and promote Continuous Improvement forums.
+ Support to Value Stream Engineers (according to work plan).
+ Manufacturing of prototypes, such as guards, fixtures, accessories, worktables, etc. (not mass production).
**Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High school or GED from an accredited institution.
+ One year of manufacturing experience.
+ No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Ability to read engineering drawings, understanding of basic CAD and drafting principles.
+ Experience with CAD or engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), Microsoft Office, and AS400.
+ Experience operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting manufacturing equipment or MES systems.
**Position Criteria:**
+ Familiarity with basic Lean manufacturing tools (5S, waste identification, standard work, etc.).
**Skills:**
+ Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
+ Ability to operate equipment, machinery, and computer systems including Windows, MS Office, and industrial software.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Commitment to continuous learning and driving CI culture.
