As a Manager, Continuous Improvement at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will implement continuous improvement and transformational change through our Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System. In this impactful role, you'll work closely with business leadership to establish and develop continuous improvement practices that enable profitable growth, enhance customer experience, and increase employee engagement. You will support the implementation of lean methodologies and guide teams across functions to achieve significant performance results.
You will lead strategy deployment, facilitate cross-functional improvement initiatives, and build organizational capability in PPI tools and methodologies. Through mentoring and training, you'll help develop a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving excellence. Your expertise in lean principles will help optimize processes, reduce waste, and deliver measurable business impact across customer, financial, people, and quality metrics.

Keys to Success
Education
A degree is strongly preferred, or equivalent professional experience considered in lieu of degree.Experience
5+ years of experience implementing continuous improvement/lean methodologies in a matrix organizationPreferred Fields of Study: engineering, science, operations, business or related fieldLean Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired.Additional certifications in PPI, project management or continuous improvement methodologies beneficial.Demonstrated expertise in lean tools including: Strategy Deployment and Value Stream Mapping, Tiered Daily Management Systems, Gemba Walks and Leader Standard Work, Kaizen Events and Problem-Solving Methods, Visual Management and 5SExperience in regulated industries (pharma, medical device) preferredKnowledge of GMP/quality systems beneficialKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong influencing and change management skills with ability to engage across the organizationExcellent project management capabilities and track record of delivering measurable resultsAdvanced analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication, facilitation and presentation skillsDemonstrated success developing and mentoring teamsExperience with financial analysis and benefits trackingProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and continuous improvement softwareAbility to travel up to 30% as neededAbility to work independently and lead through influenceBenefits
