Electrical Systems Engineer role responsible for diagnosing product issues, developing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement of electrical systems using harness and CAD design tools.
Job RequirementsBS degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
Minimum 1 year of experience designing or performing diagnostics on electrical systems
Strong electrical background and troubleshooting aptitude, including ability to identify issues, define corrective actions, and oversee implementation
Proficiency with wire harness design software strongly preferred (ideally Capital Harness)
Proficiency with CAD design software such as CREO considered a plus
Ability to interpret and analyze machine performance data and warranty information
Preferred SkillsExperience supporting continuous improvement or quality initiatives for mobile or off-road equipment
Experience working with cross-functional teams such as design engineering, PV&V (Product Verification & Validation), quality, manufacturing, and field support
Familiarity with heavy equipment subsystems including hydraulics, electrical, software, drivetrain, engines, cooling, and structures
Experience with test and analysis plan development for validating design changes and corrective actions
Job ResponsibilitiesDetermine root cause for warranty and performance issues on equipment in the field
Review warranty claims and DTAC cases, establish priorities, and track issue resolution
Collect and evaluate field machine data to support diagnostics and corrective actions
Review findings with product experts across functional areas including design, PV&V, quality, and manufacturing
Perform necessary analyses to develop robust corrective actions within established guidelines
Implement corrective actions and changes using harness design and CAD software, including revising or creating new designs
Work with Model and PV&V engineering to define and execute validation activities
Share customer experience and lessons learned to prevent recurrence of issues
Develop test and analysis plans to ensure corrective actions address customer needs and quality goals
Collaborate with DTAC and field representatives to address concerns and deploy corrective actions
Work with Quality Engineering to develop project plans, document status, and report progress in regular meetings (e.g., QIT)
Coordinate with Publications (parts catalog, service manuals) to ensure documentation accuracy following design changes
Gain and maintain product knowledge through training and hands-on machine experience
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
