Continuous Improvement Engineer
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer. Add sentence or two about what the business does/manufactures. This role is based out of our South Milwaukee, WI location. The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives at the plant. In this role, you will: The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** • Drive the continuous improvement roadmap at the facility through leading kaizen and business process improvement events. Ensure 30/60/90 follow ups are prepared, and event results are sustained. • Create and improve standard work documentation for the production line as well as manufacturing documentation. • Support the daily accountability tier process and support improving visual controls. • Own the 5S+ program and improve the overall 5S+ program at the plant. • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement cost reduction projects. • Champion the continuous improvement ideas framework and own the tracking of the program. Engage manufacturing and other plant stakeholders in the process. • Lead the plant continuous improvement council. • Leverage problem solving tools to identify root causes of issues and identify corrective actions to improve operations. • Participate in the plant’s operations and CI assessments and support improving the plants results. Coordinate action item status updates and completion. • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing improvement initiatives. Perform time studies to gather data for production. • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and operations on implementing lean principles. • Champion and sustain the CI culture at the plant and CI tools such as leader standard work, gemba walks, processs checks, and visual controls. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution • Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated proficiency with lean manufacturing tools such as VSM and standard work • Minimum of 1 year using problem-solving methodologies to determine root-cause and corrective action • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship **Preferred Qualifications:** • Experience leading and participating in Kaizen and other rapid improvement events • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
