Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist to lead and execute major improvement projects within our Cut & Sew operations in Tangier.

As a Lean expert, the CI Specialist will mentor teams, drive process optimization, and ensure that all initiatives align with the plant’s operational excellence strategy — focusing on productivity, quality, waste reduction, and ergonomics.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead high-impact CI projects (layout optimization, SMED, productivity improvement, scrap reduction).
• Conduct time studies, work measurement, and method analysis in sewing and cutting lines.
• Implement line balancing, visual management, and process standardization.
• Perform root cause analyses and drive structured problem-solving for recurring issues.
• Develop and deploy standardized work and best practices across product models.
• Coach team leaders, engineers, and supervisors on Lean and problem-solving tools.
• Measure and report project financial impact (labor efficiency, scrap cost, downtime).
• Support automation and digitalization initiatives in cutting and sewing operations.
• Benchmark internal and external processes to identify best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Education & Experience
• Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing (ideally Trim Covers or Seating).

Technical Skills
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred).
• Strong analytical background in time studies, layout design, and process mapping.
• Solid understanding of ergonomics and workstation optimization.

Preferred Skills
• Experience in SMED, VSM (Value Stream Mapping), and Standard Work deployment.
• Exposure to automotive trim covers or textile manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with SAP, MS Power BI, or similar analysis tools.
