Content Strategist, Content Services
**Job Summary** The Content Services team is looking for a Content Strategist to join us in Raleigh, US. The Content Strategist plays a critical role in making Red Hat's product documentation a competitive differentiator. This position leads the creation and implementation of a comprehensive strategy that defines content deliverables to support key business objectives and looks at content across the portfolio to help make the deliverables cohesive and support the Red Hat portfolio. The Content Strategist works with the Content Services teams, digital experience teams, and customer experience groups to ensure content meets the needs of all internal stakeholders and, most importantly, provides an outstanding customer experience. **What you will do:** + Lead people and projects in an open way that inspires confidence; demonstrate negotiation, leadership, and influencing capabilities + Review high-level development scoping information and determine initial resource requirements to support initiatives + Assess the audience for your program deliverables and presentations and communicate clearly, concisely, confidently, and effectively in written and verbal communication + Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills in resolving cross-functional issues within the program and documentation teams and negotiation + Develop strategic plans for content and define recommendations on content standards, needed improvements, and content gaps. Anticipate and prioritize customer-related challenges and feedback from customer-facing stakeholders for continuous improvement efforts + Understand the impact of content decisions and strategy, not just within Customer Content Services but also in areas across Red Hat Such as support delivery + Curate content for display on the product page in the Red Hat website for each product release + Serve as a single point of contact (PoC) for stakeholders, provide approvals to program management teams, report status and negotiate changes to deliverables and schedules, and communicate and get buy-in for the content plan to all relevant stakeholders + Determine writing schedules based on resource availability of the writing teams and the prioritization of requirements by the content strategist + Report on project and program health and clearly communicate to stakeholders, leaders, and content teams + Build relationships with colleagues across Customer Content Services **What you will bring:** + Experience with the enterprise-level software development life cycle, including an understanding of the customer life cycle and knowledge of different content development and publishing methodologies, tools, and defect-tracking systems + Familiarity with structured, topic-based authoring and information architecture + Experience with user-focused product writing and shaping content for technical products + Experience working with diverse sets of stakeholders to solve complex problems + Demonstrated experience with agile and rapid iteration releases + Demonstrated success taking accountability for project delivery and completion + Ability to influence irrespective of job title + Ability to inspire others The salary range for this position is $105,860.00 - $169,340.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. **Pay Transparency** Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
