Job Overview/Summary:
The Volunteer Content Creator will support the production of engaging short-form video content for Family Corner’s social media platforms. Working closely with the Social Media & Digital Growth Senior Manager, the Content Creator will turn written scripts and guidance provided by Family Corner into well-produced, accessible Arabic-language videos targeted to caregivers of young children. The role requires creativity, technical skill in video production and editing, and the ability to film in safe, appealing locations inside Syria.
Responsibilities:
+ Produce 12 short-form videos (15–90 seconds each) tailored for Family Corner’s social media channels.
+ Record high-quality footage using a mobile device or camera, ensuring proper lighting, clear audio, and engaging visuals.
+ Capture clean and professional voice recordings (using external microphones or setups as needed).
+ Film either self-presented videos (creator on camera) or others (caregivers, children, or actors, with permissions and consent forms as appropriate).
+ Secure any necessary approvals and bookings for filming in public or private locations.
+ Edit videos, including adding burned-in Arabic captions for accessibility.
+ Deliver final videos optimized for social media formats.
+ Collaborate with the digital team to ensure consistency with brand tone, messaging, and accessibility standards.
Staff Performance Management, Learning & Development:
+ Participate in regular check-ins and feedback sessions with the Social Media & Digital Growth Senior Manager.
+ Take part in orientation and training sessions on Family Corner's editorial and engagement style.
+ Proactively seek feedback and apply learning to improve the quality of content.
Required Experience/Qualification/Skills:
+ Student or recent graduate in media, communications, audiovisual arts, journalism, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in video production, editing, and post-production.
+ Experience recording clear audio and configuring equipment/software for high-quality sound.
+ S trong on-camera presence and/or ability to direct others on camera.
+ Proficiency in Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic required; local dialect familiarity a plus).
+ Basic proficiency in English for internal communication.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
+ Ability to create engaging and accessible social media content.
+ Creativity and problem-solving in selecting locations, framing shots, and telling stories visually.
+ Strong attention to detail in editing and captioning.
+ A bility to work independently, manage time, and deliver on deadlines.
Language/Travel:
+ Excellent spoken and written Arabic required.
+ Basic English required.
+ M ust be willing and able to travel locally within Syria to film in safe, approved locations.
