Content Adjuster
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Content Adjustor for a public adjusting firm in the greater Boston area. Key responsibilities: - Responsible for the inspection, documentation, evaluation, and settlement of personal and commercial property contents claims - Handles losses resulting from fire, water, theft, weather, and other covered events - Ensures fair, accurate, and timely claim resolution - Maintains compliance with policy provisions, regulatory requirements, and claims best practices - Acts as a key point of contact for policyholders, public adjusters, and internal claim team - Primary Responsibilities o Claims Handling & Evaluation  Conduct on site and/or virtual inspections of damaged or destroyed contents  Prepare detailed contents inventories and itemized valuations  Calculate replacement cost, actual cash value (ACV), and depreciation  Review receipts, photographs, inventories, appraisals, and supporting documentation - Coverage & Compliance o Interpret and apply policy language, limits, exclusions, and endorsements o Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations and company guidelines o Maintain accurate, timely, and well documented claim files in claims systems - Communication & Negotiation o Communicate professionally with policyholders, public adjusters, contractors, and vendors o Negotiate settlements in good faith and resolve claim disputes when applicable o Clearly explain coverage decisions and settlement outcomes o Prepare written reports, estimates, and settlement recommendations - Collaboration & Performance o Coordinate with field adjusters, examiners, restoration vendors, and legal teams o Meet productivity, quality, and customer service performance standards o Support catastrophe response efforts when required We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements - Minimum of 1 years of experience handling contents (personal property) insurance claims - Strong understanding of contents valuation and depreciation methodologies - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skill - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines in a fast paced environment - Xactimate
