About the Role

This is an exciting role, that comprises different aspects of Planning, including brand, consumer, and shopper. It sits within the DACH market and works across Diageo portfolio, including global, strategic brands. This role will support this region in identifying growth driving insights, ensuring they are culturally resonant and to enable cultural traction and fame for the brand.

Our role as Consumer Planner in Diageo delivers ideas and insights that sell more. Our partners expect us to demonstrate our outstanding skill to own the business to make the right strategic choices, making commercially savvy and evidence-based decisions within the ever-changing context of our consumers, shoppers, and customers' lives.

Top Accountabilities

Lead the proactive identification and communication of both: strategic and tactical opportunities for growth, for categories and brands, and ensures these opportunities are prioritised in the Category/Brand Vision and Strategy, with compelling ideas for executionUnleash deep consumer and cultural understanding in combination with previous findings (on this and other brands)Instill a consumer and shopper-obsessed culture across the Brand/Category team, leading by example in having a deep immersion and expertise in consumer behaviour not just in our brands/industry but in broader consumption and culture.Provide strategic leadership, insight/key learning throughout the annual brand planning process.  his ranges from measuring and evaluating previous years’ activities, to providing consumer insight and encouragement, to facilitating workshops, to leading the category/brand team with an objective opinion on the key issues to be addressed and the way forwardClosely co-operates with the European Innovation Planners and Global Brand Planners, representing local marketFuel the Brand and the Shopper Marketing Teams with consumer and shopper provocations that instigate change

About You:

5+  years proven track record in research/planning roles, in Consumer Goods organizations, with a focus on strategic brand planningPassionate and deeply curious for understanding consumers and the world they exist in, with evidence in applying this, to drive growthAble to bring the future to today’s world and roadmap actions, to make it happen (within a commercial context)Experienced at managing research projects, agencies and budgets. Deeply understanding research techniques, able to draw conclusions beyond what is presented in a deckAble to accurately digest large amounts of information and break down complex problems; strong in quantitative analysesCommunicates in a compelling, persuasive and impactful way. Teammate, able to influence across senior levels. Work experience within a sophisticated matrix organisational structure will be an assetThrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and can work with high levels of ambiguity. Learns fast and adjusts thinking in the face of new information
