What this position is about – Purpose
The Consumer Insights Manager position aims to provide an in-depth understanding of consumer behaviours and motivations through effective management of qualitative and quantitative research studies. This role collaborates closely with Brand, RRP, and Sales teams to translate business needs into actionable insights, ensuring that research data drives strategic decision-making and business planning. The Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for efficient budget planning and management, delivering innovative and forward-thinking consumer insights that shape JTI's future strategies and objectives.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
Consumer Incidence and Tracker studies: Manage consumer incidence and tracker studies, overseeing agency relationships to align research with JTI’s strategic goals. Ensure timely, accurate data collection, reporting, and validation to deliver reliable insights for strategic decision-making. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and qualitative studies, translating complex data into actionable recommendations that drive business impact. Consumer Segmentation: Deliver and manage consumer segmentation maps, provide in-depth understanding of consumer motivations and pain points, and integrate insights with Brand, RRP, and Sales teams. Foster cross-department collaboration to create unified consumer-focused strategies. Innovate research methodologies to anticipate consumer trends and support future business strategies. Qualitative Studies: Conduct targeted qualitative research aligned with business needs. Translate complex qualitative data into clear, actionable recommendations for Brand, Ploom, and Sales teams. Oversee research agency management to ensure high-quality outputs. Support Business Driving Activities: Act as a trusted advisor to Marketing & Sales teams, enabling effective use of consumer insights into business planning and performance reviews. Support presentation development for key meetings (AP, regional visits, GM meetings), clearly communicating research findings and business implications. Budget Planning and Management: Lead consumer research budget planning and management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, financial discipline, and efficient resource allocation. Monitor budget usage, report variances, and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising research quality. Engage stakeholders early to align budget priorities and support long-term sustainability of research initiatives.
Whom are we looking for – Requirements:
University degree in social sciences, humanities or technical sciences. Minimum 5 years of working experience in the same or similar position in the FMCG environment. Fluent in English. MS Office, statistics, research methodology, analysis and problem solving, project/process management.
