Consumer Insights Manager, Prime Video Japan

The JP Prime Video Marketing team is looking for a Consumer Insights Manager to lead customer-focused primary and secondary research projects in Japan. We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled insights expert to work closely with cross-functional teams across Prime Video JP Marketing to help shape business and marketing strategies. As part of the Global Consumer Insights team, you will also partner closely with global and regional insights counterparts to establish strong insights foundation. You will play a key role in setting and enhancing scalable, effective research mechanisms and deliver actionable insights on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will be experienced in a wide range of consumer research methodologies, both in quantitative and qualitative approaches. This role requires robust experience in creating strategic and actionable business recommendations by combining observations/interpretations from complex datasets. It is crucial that they have hands-on and deep experience in managing primary customer research studies and their stakeholder needs. This role will also skillfully manage the scope of multiple competing priorities, to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of research. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in change and ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams across Prime Video, working closely with stakeholders at all levels to design consumer-focused research plans that align with Prime Video’s business goals.
• Identify research solutions to ensure quality of insights delivery, contributing to effective/efficient marketing activities contextualized with insights on broad industry trends.
• Manage and raise the bar of the external research operators effectively to deliver the standardized research projects
• Own end-to-end management of bespoke consumer research projects, from ideation through delivery. Write RFPs, analyze data from primary and secondary sources, write result reports to stakeholders to drive insights into actions.
• Work with external/internal team to ensure quality inputs for marketing measurement solutions
• Lead meta-analysis to produce consolidated learnings to support mid- and long-term business strategy.
• Work on standardizing best practices, streamlining processes, and enhancing impacts.
• Contribute to teams’ day-to-day operational and planning tasks.
• Represent and advocate for the Prime Video customer in all analysis and meetings.
