Your Purpose
The Consumer Insights Analyst oversees a variety of consumer research projects, analyses and dynamic reporting dashboards by performing the following duties and any others as assigned.
What You’ll do
Principal Responsibilities Include:
• Designs market research, customer surveys and consumer insights projects, directs their implementation, analyzes results and prepares research summaries.
• Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures.
• Compiles, analyzes, translates, and presents research information to insights leadership, business owners, and subject matter experts. Recommends direction based on research findings.
• Takes lead on assigned research projects and is able to balance multiple studies, each with a firm due date
• Investigates research methodologies, statistical techniques and new methodologies.
• Moderates customer and associate focus groups on various topics; builds subject matter expertise to effectively lead discussions
• Owns and ensures accuracy of data pulls, analysis and summary communication; knows where to get the data, how to pull the data from internal or external sources and the best way to report on the insights
• Thinks outside of the box to ensure insights are comprehensive and actionable by management tasked with making significant business decisions
• Meets with management + leadership to understand business needs, becoming proficient in the data associated with each project
• Uses analytical software to connect to, transform and report on a variety of data including transactional, demographic and geospatial
• Gathers, examines, and compares data for use in research projects through mining of customer spend history and other relevant datapoints via Alteryx, Power BI and other analytical tools.
• Transforms a variety of segmentation, survey, marketing and promotional engagement datasets into user-friendly dashboards within Power BI or other similar dynamic reporting tools
• Stays up-to-date on analytical, competitive and business trends to ensure the company is providing actionable, relevant insights
• Researches, tracks and reports on secondary consumer insights research to allow the business to stay on the leading edge of customer and competitive trends
• Investigates, tracks and summarizes competitive information including financial performance and other information for use in quarterly review and strategic planning meetings
• Other duties as may be needed or required.

What You Bring (Experience)
Required
• Bachelor's degree (B. S. or B.A.) in business, statistics, economics, data science or other related degree from four-year college or university; or two or more years of professional experience as an analyst on an analytics or research team; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access and especially Power BI and Excel
Preferred
• Working knowledge with Alteryx and SQL querying
