Program Specific Responsibilities:
Oracle Government, Defense and Intelligence is seeking an experienced Database Administrator who has a broad understanding of Oracle-based solutions, industry best practices, and technology designs. A successful candidate will operate independently to provide quality work products to our customers. Performs complex duties and tasks that leverage domain expertise to implement Oracle products and technology to provide value to our customers.
As a Database Engineer / Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based databases, providing support for database management tasks, and ensuring data security and integrity. Works closely with cloud infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud base databases with applications and services.
Required Skills:
Experience with US Government / IC customers enterprise systems Experience with data architecture, engineering, and data modeling Experience with managing structured and unstructured data, and knowledge of binary file types like Parquet, Hudi, Iceberg, Delta Lake Experience integrating Oracle databases with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-based data lakes Familiarity with Oracle SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle Database Engineering Senior Oracle DBA with experience in Oracle Database Installations and Upgrades (version 19c preferred). DBA experience Including the following Database technologies: RAC (Real Application Clusters), Multitenant (create, cloning, dropping, CDBs and PDBs), Data Guard (Physical Standby and Active Data Guard), Unified Auditing, RMAN (Recovery Manager), DB patching, hardening / STIG'ing, Oracle Automated Storage Management (ASM), Database troubleshooting/Fault identification Experience writing SQL/PLSQL code Experience configuring and querying Oracle Audit Experience with Linux (use & navigation, and shell scripting knowledge)
