Role Profile:
The Staffing function is the holistic owner of key components of the BCG consulting team employee experience. Most notably, the function drives the development and deployment of BCG’s most important asset – its people – while supporting overall business objectives (e.g. staff utilization, project team balance). The Consulting Team Talent Senior Specialist will play a key role in driving strategic and operational support for the Staffing function in the Boston Talent Management team within BCG’s Northeast system, while also serving as a team member of the larger consulting talent community in North America.
The Talent Senior Specialist owns the process of landing an appropriate team of consultants to execute individual projects, while driving the overall objectives of the business (e.g., team balance and staff utilization). Additionally, a portion of this person’s time may be spent driving the dynamic allocation and prioritization of business development resources and managing other system priorities (e.g., summer intern staffing). Over time, this individual may also own a small roster of Associates or Consultants and will support their development, career navigation, and staffing.

A qualified candidate is a strategic thinker who can effectively prioritize competing tasks and collaborate with, influence and manage stakeholders (including all levels of Consulting staff + Business Services Team members across key functions like Finance/HR) to meet the needs of individual consultants, the firm, and our clients.
What You'll Do
In the Talent Senior Specialist role, you would focus your time and talents on:
Leading the staffing process for individual long & short term projects, from partnering with leadership on case context and needs to identifying, connecting, and confirming the right consulting resources for each individual opportunityOptimizing team designs across projects as needed, in line with view of overall project pipeline, balancing business priorities with specific staff needsServing as a thought partner to project team leadership in evaluating options during the staffing process, understanding the impact on team/client economics and balance, and thoughtfully adhering to regional policies and guidelinesSupporting case intake, triaging, and load-balancing for TM team in collaboration with team leadershipDriving the summer staffing process for the office, including coordination with stakeholders (summer interns, consulting staff, case team leaders, NAMR Talent Managers, etc.)May support end-to-end process of short-term staffing in the time between formal assignments for consultants, communicating and coordinating with consulting staff and Talent Managers – prioritizing demands in real time as neededMay deploy a small roster of consulting resources, ensuring each resource receives the right set of projects to support their development & professional goals; supporting CDC (Career Development Committee) by speaking to individual staff’s deployment, performance, and trajectoryDevelop fluency with finance and business mechanics to understand the impact each individual staffing decision has on cohort, roster, office, and ultimately system successCollaborating with other functions at relevant points of intersection (Career Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Teaming@BCG, Career Services, Finance, etc.)Coordinating inputs and outputs with a diverse group of stakeholders at various levels of seniority; work as a team contributor within local, system, regional, and global staffing structures to ensure day-to-day outcomes are in line with policiesLeveraging digital tools and access to People and Finance reports to ensure data-driven decision makingWhat You'll Bring
Prior experience at a consulting firm and/or in an HR, Consulting, Talent or Finance role is preferred
4+ years’ total work experience
Undergraduate degree required

Who You'll Work With
In this role, you will partner with Talent Managers and the local office Business Management Executive Director to support the consulting cohorts, focusing on the needs of the firm, cohort and individuals.

Compensation Information
Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.
The base salary range for this role is $98,000 - $120,000.
This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 12% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
