Job Description
The Consulting Manager is a client-facing delivery leader responsible for managing engagements, driving execution, and directing junior team members across operational efficiency and revenue optimization initiatives. This role is suited for someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates clearly with senior stakeholders, and brings structure and momentum to complex client environments.
Client Delivery & Project Management
· Lead end-to-end delivery of client engagements focused on operations, revenue, and growth initiatives
· Own day-to-day execution including workplans, timelines, issue tracking, and meeting cadence
· Translate loosely defined client challenges into structured workstreams, priorities, and actionable outputs
· Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality, pace, and responsiveness
Operational Efficiency and Revenue Growth
· Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and revenue leakage, and lead execution of improvement plans
· Support revenue acceleration initiatives including pricing, process alignment, commercial execution, and go-to-market enablement
· Lead process redesign efforts including workflow clarification, SOP development, role clarity, and performance alignment
· Drive implementation, not just recommendations, in environments that are often informal and under-documented
Team Leadership
· Direct, coach, and manage Associates and Analysts to ensure efficient work effort and high-quality outputs
· Provide clear task direction with defined deliverable outcomes and timelines
· Review junior work for accuracy, structure, and client readiness
· Support team development through ongoing feedback, coaching, and capability building
Communication & Stakeholder Management
· Communicate confidently and professionally with owners, CEOs, and senior client leadership
· Provide timely, proactive updates and maintain clear next steps with all stakeholders
· Ensure internal GSA leaders have accurate, timely visibility into engagement status, risks, and decisions
· Produce clear written summaries, decision logs, and client-ready materials aligned with GSA standards

Skills and Requirements
· 5–7 years of experience in consulting, advisory, or operational leadership roles
· Business or Engineering degree – MBA preferred
· Direct experience delivering work in mid-market and owner-managed business environments
· Demonstrated ability to manage delivery teams and direct junior resources effectively
· Strong execution discipline with the ability to move work forward independently
· Experience leading operational efficiency, revenue improvement, or growth-oriented initiatives
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with senior stakeholders · Experience across a range of enterprise and operational technologies including ERP systems, CRM platforms, workflow management tools, and reporting or analytics solutions
· Exposure to system implementation, process enablement, and technology-enabled transformation initiatives
· Experience working with construction, mechanical services, industrial, agriculture, manufacturing, or distribution businesses
· Comfort designing and implementing KPIs, operating rhythms, and management cadences
