We know you’ll take great satisfaction in applying theory and technical creativity to rapidly develop impactful solutions for national defense air, maritime, and/or terrestrial platforms. **Primary Responsibilities** + Work closely with defense customers, other contractors, intelligence personnel, senior scientists, principal investigators, and program managers, to understand needs and develop or recommend solutions. + Model and characterize electromagnetic (EM) phenomenology (scattering, absorption, polarization, refraction, diffraction, etc.) primarily in radio frequency (RF) bands + Characterize and evaluate radar cross sections (RCS) + Write and present technical information related to development activities + Develop technical solutions and help write proposals for new work. **Basic Qualifications** + Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering with 13+ years of experience. + Must be a U.S. Citizen + Expertise in applied electromagnetics with skills in EM modeling and experimentation + Robust communication skills and a willingness and interest to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team environment to drive towards overall project and team objectives + Excellent technical writing, documentation, and organization + Ability to both lead and work as a team member + Strong attention to detail and deadlines + Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance **Original Posting:** July 7, 2025 For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. **Pay Range:** Pay Range - The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
