We have an opening for a Consulting Cyber Architect to join our Ground Systems Software (SW) Engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% on site, in a SCIF supporting a Space program. The successful candidate will join a large infrastructure team to provide Subject Matter Expert level technical leadership to two large programs. The position requires deep knowledge of LAN / WAN networking, software defined networking, virtualization, Linux OS, cloud infrastructures, and will provide top level architecture support to the program and its remote sites (including international).
 
What you'll get to do: 

Design of complex network architectures to address customer requirementsProvide expert level network knowledge and application of modern networking techniques and technologies to proposal activitiesPlanning of large LAN / WAN deployments with minimal downtimeMentoring of network engineers both local to Space Park and other sitesFormulating innovative solutions to resolve difficult challengesDetailed analysis of program requirements and plans to addressInteraction with other IPTs SMEs for requirements gathering and understandingAncillary duties will include, but are not limited to: evaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations for hardware / software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and assistance with asset managementApplicant must be experienced in STIG configuration, classified processing, and security procedures and maintain relevant certifications

Basic Qualifications:

16 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s in Science; 14 years of relevant experience with Master's; 12 years of relevant experience with PhDActive SCI and adjudicated CI Poly required at the time of applicationExtensive experience and knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, subnettingExtensive experience and knowledge of L1 thru L6 networkingExtensive experience and knowledge of static and dynamic routingDISA STIGs as they apply to network devicesSecurity+ or better certificationMulticast networkingAbility to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $206,900.00 - $310,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
