About Your Role

As a Consultant Mechanical Engineer at BV Solutions (independent part of Bureau Veritas) – Asset Management team – your focus is on inspecting and reporting mechanical building-related installations. You will check whether the building complies with laws and regulations, on behalf of our clients. You operate independently or together with your colleagues as a project leader or supporting your direct colleagues. This all depends on your experience and ambitions. You also provide advice to the client regarding all mechanical engineering aspects. For example, you might inspect cooling installations, perform technical due diligence, along with a thermal scan or condition measurements.

Often, you will perform concultancies as part of a team. In some cases, you will be responsible for the entire process (from preparing the quote to presenting the result). In this role, you will be the point of contact for the client, direct colleagues, and monitor the budget. For complex projects, you will review and assess risks that may occur during the work. If necessary, in consultation with your colleagues, you will take the necessary measures to minimize accidents.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting concultancy with regards to the building and infrastructure market;
• Planning projects, giving instructions, and discussing risks/time;
• Assessing progress, finances, and ensuring invoicing/evaluation;
• Making budgets and maintenance costs transparent.

Your profile

• Completed and relevant Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related;
• Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch is an advantage;
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently;
• Having a drivers' license is an advantage.
