What Learning Development and Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Learning develops, deploys and evaluates learning solutions to support employee development and build organizational capability in alignment to business strategies. This function analyzes learning needs and develops training curricula, technologies, and programs. This function also manages trainings provided by third-parties and partners with leaders and subject matter experts within functions and business units to deliver learning.

Learning Development and Delivery provides instructor-led trainings and manages training processes to maximize the value that employees gain from learning solutions. This job family delivers training materials including presentations, guides and manuals, and course evaluations and coordinate training schedules based on training needs.

Position Overview
The Consultant, Learning Business Partner is responsible for managing learning program development and delivery and serving as a Learning Business Partner for the Enterprise Academy with a primary focus on Finance and Ethics & Compliance.

Responsibilities

Perform Learning Business Partner responsibilities for specific internal clients: consult with internal clients to identify development needs/gaps, collaborate with appropriate partners to recommend and develop learning solutions, ongoing sustainment and measurement of programsDevelop learning strategy and contribute to business reviews with senior business leadersGuide key business initiatives focused on upskilling/reskilling of existing employeesAbility to operate with a sense of urgency, and willing to roll up sleeves, driving for results by set deadlines on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to adapt to changing business needsSupport delivery strategy, including facilitationMaintain strong partnership with Instructional Design & Development Hub team applying project management methodology; guide subject matter experts in program design and executionMay include responsibility for maintaining vendor relationshipsRecommends new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsUses effective questioning and probing skills to adapt and modify deliveryProvides feedback on course design and content to Instructional Design & Development (IDD) team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred5+ years of training or business-related experience, preferredStrong consulting, influence and relationship management skillsProgram design and management experienceDemonstrated ability navigating diverse business functionsKnowledge of adult learning theories and best practicesPassion for process improvement and innovationDemonstrates knowledge and effective use of training system technologies, presentation/facilitation tools, techniques, and materialsWorking knowledge of Instructional Design & Development Lifecycle; familiarity with human centered learning / design thinking preferredDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work with short timeframesHighly motivated, creative, self-sufficient, able to operate effectively with a teamTravel expected at 25% or less
