What you’ll be doing

Supporting multiple aspects of the Simplii Financial business, the Consultant, Business Analytics will be supporting both tactical and strategic initiatives including the identification of potential client segments and audiences, the movement of deposit and lending funds, and campaign analysis. You will provide analytics as well as technical leadership to the business, bringing innovative approaches to solving problems, and effectively communicating findings to business stakeholders.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

Analytical/Reporting Skills - Demonstrate your analytical capabilities by applying descriptive analytics to analyze data and validate assumptions, understand and articulate results as it relates to the funds and clients. You will manipulate raw deposit funds, sales data, and client data sets for analysis and suggest recommendations to business partners.

Collaborate - Work closely with multiple business partners to develop and deliver regular and ad hoc management sales reporting and value-add analysis for the Simplii Financial business. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure business partners needs are met on a timely basis

Reporting - Integrate and manipulate a variety of data sources into the reporting required to assess performance and/or profitability and be responsible for providing ongoing and/or ad hoc business level reporting support as required. Responsible for the delivery of daily, weekly and monthly core sales reports/dashboards and value-added analysis. Present analytic results, insights, findings to management on an ongoing basis

Relationship building – Collaborate with subject matter experts across Simplii from Product, Marketing, Finance, Risk, Research, Operations, etc.

Who you are

You can demonstrate work experience and technical knowledge in Databricks, SQL, Python, and Microsoft Excel, with a strong foundation in data sourcing, manipulation, and reporting techniques to support robust analysis and informed recommendations. Proficient in developing Power BI visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights and support deliverables for a diverse range of stakeholders and business partners.

You have a degree/diploma in equivalent to a University degree in Business, Information Systems, Statistics, Analytics and Mathematics. A post graduate business degree would be beneficial. And, three years of experience
