Construction Superintendent III
POSITION TITLE:   CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT III      
Reports To:    Construction Manager
SUPERVISES:     Company Crane Operator, Lifting Specialist, contractor construction crews
MAIN FUNCTIONS Oversee contractor work activities onboard FPSO Monitor and appraise effectiveness of contractor worker safety program Monitor and appraise effectiveness of contractor work planning, construction productivity and efficiency Provide main interface between the workface, FPSO operations and Construction Manager Ensure good communications and relations with contractor Evaluation contractor’s organization and supervisor personnel, suggesting improvements where deficiencies noted TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES        
Safety Champion onboard safety awareness and safe performance with contractor and among Project Team members, maintaining consistent presence at the workface Technical Serve as day-to-day interface with contractor and craft labor, providing a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule Ensure work processes and activities are performed safely Evaluate contractor’s organization and supervisor personnel and manpower and communicate any issues/changes to line management Provide input into progress measurement process Maintain regular and open communication with counterpart within the contractor organization Analyze contractor’s progress and performance within a discipline and recommend actions as needed Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress Provide oversight of contractor’s materials management/verification systems; maintain awareness of any material delivery issues and assist in developing mitigation plans Obtain and coordinate permitting requirements with operations Validate and ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans Focus on forward planning within discipline to ensure all deliverables and manpower are in place to execute efficiently and predictably relative to schedule Monitor environmental compliance, as required Interface with contractor for field level changes, e.g., scope, costs, etc. Verify arrival of procured equipment and engineering deliverables Interface with engineering in area of responsibility that may require follow-up during construction Provide on-site support to project PM and Asset Manager as required Provide support to pre-commissioning/mechanical completion/systems completion Steward closure of checklists and punch list items in discipline area Coordinate with mechanical completion team to set work priorities for walk downs, punch list clearance and systems handover Coordinate Quality Audits and other site surveillance activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  Technical degree and offshore experience preferred. 10-15 years construction experience
