Now Hiring: Construction Superintendent – High-Profile Infrastructure Project
About the Opportunity
A nationally recognized general contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure and building projects is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team. This role supports major Port Authority projects across New York City, including a marquee project valued at over $200 million. The ideal candidate will bring extensive field leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence in construction execution.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project design, budget, and schedule.
+ Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and field personnel to maintain productivity and quality standards.
+ Interpret construction drawings and provide technical direction on construction methods, materials, and equipment.
+ Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule and logistics plan.
+ Enforce compliance with contract documents and implement the Site-Specific Safety Plan.
+ Maintain clear and consistent communication with owner representatives and project stakeholders.
+ Monitor material and equipment usage to ensure operational efficiency and cost control.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
+ Minimum of 20 years of field supervisory experience, including 10+ years as a Superintendent on large-scale projects ($200M+).
+ Strong experience in heavy civil and roadway construction.
+ Proven experience in new building and structural construction (e.g., piles, concrete, structural steel).
+ In-depth knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and industry standards.
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid, and Procure.
+ OSHA and First Aid certifications.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
+ Familiarity with City, State, and Federal Government construction projects is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
