UGL’s Fuels and Energy East business is seeking an experienced Construction SMP Supervisor to lead brownfields construction activities across our Western Australia operations. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire their team, draw on diverse skills, and foster an environment where great ideas are heard and everyone looks out for one another.
You will be responsible for supervising structural, mechanical, and piping (SMP) scopes, with a particular focus on tank-related work. The role involves working with a cross-discipline crew, although the electrical and instrumentation (EIC) portion is relatively small.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise SMP activities on brownfields construction projects.
Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
Oversee tank construction and maintenance scopes where applicable.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Collaborate with other disciplines to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
About You
Minimum 5 years of experience in SMP supervision on brownfields construction projects.
Strong technical knowledge of structural, mechanical, and piping systems.
Experience with tank construction or maintenance is highly desirable.
Proven track record of managing SMP teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in SMP-related disciplines.
S26 certification is required.
BHP induction is preferred.
