Construction Safety Manager
Job Description Compensation: $70/hr to $80/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law. Insight Global is looking to hire a Data Center Construction Safety Manager for one of our leading Tech industry clients. This resource will potentially be needed periodically to respond to a site to intervene when there is an increase in safety incidents. Currently the client’s Construction Safety Managers respond to the site to perform a “deep dive” and help facilitate an improvement strategy. A senior level safety manager may be requested to respond on their behalf if they are unable due to other conflicts. The DCX organization is also in the process of EHS program development. The EHS Advisors on the individual sites will play a role in the development of baseline regulatory procedures. This Senior Safety Manager may be utilized to support the coordination and implementation of these SMPs and / or to support other high level programmatic procedures and policies. In addition to the anticipated tasks identified above, the Senior Safety Manager will be required to participate in the following: ⦁ Initial orientation in Redmond, WA with all site EHS Managers and Project Executive. ⦁ initial Project Executive – Safety Manager “workshop” to present objectives and program strategy. ⦁ Periodic Safety Management – Project Executive meetings every 2-3 months. Most of these will be held in Redmond but could be at the various job sites. Skills and Requirements 1. Senior-Level Safety Expertise • Proven experience in managing safety programs, particularly in construction or industrial environments. • Ability to conduct “deep dive” safety assessments and implement improvement strategies during periods of increased incidents. 2. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Program Development • Experience supporting the creation and implementation of baseline regulatory procedures. • Familiarity with Safety Management Plans (SMPs) and high-level programmatic policies. 3. Leadership & Coordination • Ability to represent senior safety leadership when Construction Safety Managers are unavailable. • Skilled in coordinating across multiple sites and teams to ensure consistent safety standards. 4. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement • Comfortable presenting objectives and strategies in workshops and executive meetings. • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with Project Executives and site EHS Managers. 5. Travel & Flexibility • Willingness to travel periodically to Redmond, WA and other job sites for orientations, workshops, and recurring meetings. • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation • Degrees in Occupational Safety and Health or related fields. • Experience in accident investigation and regulatory compliance. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
