Veterans Inc. is looking for an organized, driven, and detail-focused Project Coordinator with hands-on experience in construction, renovation, or facility upgrade initiatives. This role is essential in guiding the planning, implementation, and completion of building and infrastructure projects across the organization.\n
The successful candidate will bring a strong grasp of construction project workflows, proven ability to collaborate with contractors and vendors, and the skills to manage records, scheduling, and compliance. We are seeking someone who thrives in a mission-focused, fast-paced setting and can keep projects on track-delivered on schedule, within budget, and aligned with funding and regulatory requirements.\n
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:\n\nOversee all stages of capital improvement and construction projects, including defining scope, creating budgets, selecting contractors, and coordinating execution.\nContribute to the creation of project schedules, work plans, budgets, and progress reports.\nLead and participate in project launch meetings and ongoing status updates with staff, consultants, and contractors.\nKeep accurate and complete project documentation such as contracts, design drawings, change orders, RFIs, and status reports.\nCoordinate inspections, walkthroughs, and meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and funders.\nSupport vendor and procurement activities, including drafting RFPs, reviewing proposals, and evaluating bids.\nTrack deadlines, deliverables, and project milestones using spreadsheets and project management software.\nEnsure adherence to safety standards, permitting requirements, and organizational policies.\nMonitor project budgets, spending, and invoices, raising concerns about cost overruns or delays when needed.\nAssist with grant compliance by preparing required project documentation and reports for local, state, and federal agencies.\nMaintain a centralized filing system for both active and closed projects.\nResearch technical information and provide data to aid decision-making.\nContribute to other facility and infrastructure projects or special assignments as needed.\n\n

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:\n\nMinimum of an Associate's degree in Business Administration or other related field.\n2+ years of hands-on experience coordinating construction, renovation, or facilities improvement projects.\nAbility to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces\nMust be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25\/50\/80 pounds occasionally\nConstantly works in outdoor weather conditions\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent.\nValid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites in New England as needed.\nMust be able to successfully pass a CORI\/Background records check.\nCompliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.\n\n
