**Job Title: Pipe Layer** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled technicians to join our team to work on pipe crews. As a Utilities Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks to install, repair, and maintain pipes for water, sanitation, and storm drains. This position involves working on new construction sites and requires a commitment to safety and precision. **Responsibilities** + Use tools to dig for pipes to run underground. + Position pipes, measure and cut them to size, and align them in pipeline sections. + Connect pipes using techniques specific to the site development job field. + Test pipes for leaks and ensure they are properly aligned and graded. + Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the layout of pipes and materials needed. + Adhere to safety regulations and work safely in all conditions. **Essential Skills** + Experience with construction, pipe laying, and plumbing. + Ability to measure accurately and read blueprints. + Proficiency in digging, layout, placement, testing, and backfilling for sewer, water, and drain systems. + Survey and utility locating skills. + Experience in design and blueprint interpretation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + A minimum of 2 years of experience in utilities work on a construction site. + Experience in new construction plumbing is beneficial. **Why Work Here?** Join a reputable company that has been a local staple in Savannah for over 40 years, working alongside top general contractors.
