Job Description

Join an emerging engineering firm in the NC marketplace as a Civil Engineer, Geotechnical, or Construction Services professional. You will work as an Engineering Technician/Field Technician, primarily based in the triad market. ResponsibilitiesVisit job sites and construction sites to gather samples of various soils and concrete.Conduct field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt.Test materials in the field based on size and quantity or transport them to the office/laboratory for further analysis.Perform inspections for soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.Essential SkillsACI Certification is required and preferred.High attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to submit to an MVR test for company vehicle provision.Previous experience in labor or field roles such as landscaping, farming, construction labor, or field service work.Additional Skills & QualificationsICC certifications are a plus.Ability to read and write reports.Strong communication and personal skills.Ability to work independently.Work Environment

Initially, you will ride with a team member to job sites until you are up to speed, after which you will be provided with a company truck to drive to assigned job sites. The majority of work will be outdoors or involve driving to the shop or the next job site. Job sites are typically construction sites that are in the early stages of their building process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
