Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Construction Materials Technician to join our team, primarily to test concrete for slump, density, and moisture in our laboratory. This role offers in-house training and an opportunity to work on some of the largest projects in the state across various industries, including industrial, power, and private sectors.
Responsibilities
Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor representatives, and others regarding construction site activities, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection needs.Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in the form of written and digital reports for daily transmittal.Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.Adhere to strict safety standards.Provide clear documentation of findings and results.Progressively take on increased training and responsibility in work assignments.Essential Skills
Experience with concrete and construction processes.ACI Certification, along with KYTC, ICC, or other relevant certifications.Previous Construction Materials Testing (CMT) experience of 1+ years.Additional Skills & Qualifications

The role is based in a lab environment with typical working hours from Monday to Saturday, ranging from 8 to 10 hours per day. During the summer, the workload may increase compared to the winter. Work is primarily within a team setting, and overtime is available after 40 hours. Due to the nature of the industry, a 40-hour workweek is not guaranteed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
