Construction Materials Technician
Job Title: Construction Materials TechnicianJob Description

In this role, you will be responsible for testing and documenting various construction materials with accuracy and meticulousness. While working alongside experienced team members, you will also have the opportunity to operate independently, ensuring that all test results are logical, thorough, and prepared for review. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining all laboratory equipment, keeping it in excellent condition and ensuring proper calibration to uphold the lab's efficiency and the accuracy of testing procedures.

ResponsibilitiesPerform and record tests on various construction materials accurately.Operate independently and ensure test results are logical and thorough.Maintain all laboratory equipment in excellent condition.Ensure that lab equipment is properly calibrated to maintain testing accuracy.
Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or GED.0-2 years of experience in a construction materials laboratory.Effective math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure.Effective communication skills in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Additional Skills & QualificationsActive certifications are a plus: American Concrete Institute (ACI) certifications such as Field Testing Grade I, Strength Testing Technician, Laboratory Technician.International Code Council (ICC) certifications such as Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils).DOT Certifications in Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete.

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.55/hr.
