Job Description
As a Construction Materials Testing Technician, you will perform critical field and lab testing, inspection, and observation services on construction projects, including transportation infrastructure, commercial developments, energy facilities, and educational institutions.
ResponsibilitiesConduct field and lab testing of construction materials, such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.Observe and inspect foundations, reinforcing steel, masonry, and structural steel.Transport samples to the lab with proper documentation.Submit daily reports and observations to the Project Manager.Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.Adhere to strict safety standards and perform pre-task planning.Assist with technician scheduling and dispatch as needed.Essential SkillsConcrete, construction, and materials testing.Field and/or laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and steel.Inspection and observation of construction materials and structural components.Documentation and reporting of test results using digital tools.Effective communication with project managers, contractors, and clients.Equipment maintenance and calibration.Valid driver’s license and ability to operate field vehicles (e.g., Ford F-150).Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Preferred: 6+ months experience in construction.ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification (within 90 days of hire).Nuclear Density Gauge certification (within 6 months of hire).Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Level II or ICC certifications in relevant categories (preferred).Work Environment
This role is primarily field-based across Tulsa and surrounding areas, with exposure to active construction sites and outdoor conditions. You will use company vehicles and testing equipment in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment focused on safety and quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
