PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Construction Specialists will play a crucial role in the successful execution of paving and restoration projects, coordinating activities, providing technical support, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They may be the point for coordinating between contractors, local authorities, and government agencies to ensure all parties align on project scopes and areas of responsibility so projects progress smoothly. They may provide technical advice or guidance throughout the construction process, which may include preparing reports or technical documents, assisting in the creation of bidding documents, and clarifying technical inquiries from bidders. They may oversee project budgets, to ensure that expenditures are within limits, and they may provide recommendations for certifying payments to contractors. Construction Specialists may also manage documentation requirements, coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure all necessary forms, reports, and construction documents are complete and accurate, and submitted on time. They may produce construction progress reports, identifying schedule constraints or complications, and offering proposing solutions to keep projects on track. Construction Specialists may perform on-site inspections to monitor construction progress. This may include ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and addressing any technical problems that may arise during the construction process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
3-4 years Asphalt Experience (paving roads or paving maintenance) 4-year degree preferred, preferably in an engineering related field (Engineering, Construction Management) Fluent in Data Analytical skills and Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) Must be able to communicate well (verbally, email, text, IM, MS Teams) Needs to have the right balance of field experience and office experience.Not quite right for you? Benefits & Salary:
This position pays between $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on years of experience, and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
