Join us. **Job Description** **Required Qualifications & Experience** + Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. + 10 years minimum of experience in construction/design management with proven constructability review experience on large multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., mixed-use, healthcare, aviation, data centers, high-rise, infrastructure). + Strong knowledge of SBC, IBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and relevant BS/EN standards; familiarity with GCC/KSA procurement and market dynamics. + Proficiency in BIM (Navisworks/Revit) and clash detection, plus 4D/5D planning exposure preferred. + Demonstrated experience in value engineering, methods engineering, and temporary works. + Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and technical writing skills. **Core Competencies / Skills** + Constructability & Methods Engineering + Multi-disciplinary integration (Arch/Str/MEP/Facade/Civil) + BIM literacy (clash, clearances, maintainability) + Risk management & decision analysis + Market & supply chain intelligence (KSA/GCC) + Specification clarity & performance criteria + Value engineering with balanced trade-offs + HSE by Design / DfMA / Offsite + Communication & workshop facilitation + Commercial awareness (cost/time impacts, claims avoidance) **Design-Stage Constructability Reviews** + Lead structured constructability reviews at Concept, Schematic, Design Development, and IFC milestones. + Evaluate methods, materials, detailing, tolerances, interfaces, and specifications across disciplines (architecture, structural, MEP, façade, civil, landscape, interiors, infrastructure). + Challenge complexity and propose simplifications without compromising performance, aesthetics, or code compliance. + Validate BIM model geometry for clash avoidance, installation space, maintainability, and trade sequencing. + Check tolerances, modular coordination, standardization, and prefabrication/offsite opportunities. **Methods & Sequencing** + Develop and/or review preliminary method statements and construction sequence narratives aligned with project constraints (site access, logistics, craneage, laydown, phasing, permits). + Identify temporary works, early enabling works, and site utilities diversions required by design. + Advise on workface planning, just-in-time delivery, and program risk hot spots (e.g., long-lead items, specialty trades). **Materials, Systems & Specifications** + Evaluate material/system choices for local availability, lead times, performance, cost, and constructability. + Align specifications with Saudi Building Code (SBC), IBC/NFPA where applicable, and project-specific EIR/Employer Requirements. + Recommend alternatives (e.g., façade systems, structural systems, MEP equipment, finishes) considering climate, sustainability, FM/maintainability, and life-cycle costs. + Ensure specifications are clear, measurable, testable, and reduce ambiguity that causes RFIs/claims. **Market Intelligence & Procurement Strategy** + Provide up-to-date GCC/KSA market insights: contractor capability, specialty trade ecosystem, vendor prequalification, and supply chain health. + Flag long-lead and high-risk packages early; propose early procurement or design-to-procure strategies. + Map local content requirements, standards, and logistics constraints (import duties, port capacity, customs). **Risk & Cost/Time Impacts** + Maintain a Constructability Risk Register with mitigation actions and owners. + Collaborate with Estimating/Planning to quantify cost/time impacts of design decisions and alternatives. + Support value engineering workshops and document accepted/rejected options with rationale. **Coordination & Governance** + Chair Constructability Review Workshops with designers, PM, QS, and future constructors. + Drive Decision Logs, Action Trackers, and ensure closed-loop resolution before tender/IFC. + Integrate HSE by Design and Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA) principles. + Ensure lessons learned are captured and fed back into design standards and detail libraries. **Documentation & Reporting** + Produce Constructability Review Reports per design stage with: Key observations and risks Recommended changes/alternatives Cost/program/HSE impacts Market intelligence summary Action owners and due dates. + Issue Clash & Clearance Reports (with BIM team), Access/Maintenance Reviews, and Mock-Up/Benchmarking Plans. **Qualifications** **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
